the luthier Antonio Indri, who was active in Venice at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. Works by this master are very rare, and so this example provides a rare opportunity to study the influences of early 18th century classical Venetian violin making, for example in the choice of model and varnish. This instrument is in excellent condition for its age.
