was made by Nicolas Couturieux in Lyon around 1830-1840, less than a hundred years after the original was made. It is interesting to note how clearly the original had shown signs of wear after less than a hundred years of use, which have been convincingly imitated here. The sound of this violin is also inspired by the tonal ideal of Guarneri del Gesù, a dark timbre with enormous power and projection at the same time. The special feature of this instrument is that it still has its original neck.
